Abby Land is currently a Junior Analyst with Cambridge Global Advisors, where she provides assistance to clients in the development and implementation of their programs, projects, and other long-term goals.
Prior to joining CGA, Abby completed Bachelors degrees in communications with an emphasis in journalism and international relations at the University of Indianapolis. In various capacities, Abby worked in the print journalism and public relations domains, writing various styles of copy for diverse audiences. She also served as an Editorial Assistant for the Indiana General Assembly, where she edited and proofread drafted bills during the Legislative Session of the Indiana General Assembly.
Abby earned her Masters degree in Human Security at the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. There, she served as a Lead Editor for the school's student-run policy journal and participated in a working group focused on migration in the Central Mediterranean, where she collected relevant scholarly articles and evaluated their applicability to on-the-ground developments regarding migrant transit. As a Communications Associate for the Centers for Governance and Markets, Abby became adept at writing website copy, aiding in the management of content calendars for social media, and generating digestible summaries of the complicated world occurrences for readers. Abby completed her graduate work with the Migration Policy Institute, where her responsibilities included media tracking, newsletter design and dissemination, and social media campaign creation. There, she developed a deep appreciation for the importance of communicating effectively and efficiently with diverse global audiences. Abby is passionate about the role that effective communication across cultural lines plays in international affairs and development.
