Alexia Burton is a Consultant at Cambridge Global Advisors, supporting the project management of cybersecurity hiring initiatives across DHS while developing stakeholder engagement strategies and campaigns to bolster awareness for such initiatives.
Before joining CGA, Alexia worked for two marketing agencies, The Integer Group, and Parallel Path, focusing on digital marketing strategies, account management, and social media campaigns and strategies. Her clients included Bestop, Aveeno, Neutrogena, Viant Technologies, and Starbucks. Her prior roles focused on digital marketing, fundraising and development, and event planning, for local and international nonprofits ranging from California education policy, hunger relief in India, and preventative healthcare for those living with HIV in Africa. Finally, Alexia worked for KB Home, a Fortune 500 national homebuilder, undertaking the company’s social media strategy and content creation, to engage and convert prospective homebuyers.
Alexia graduated from UC Davis with a B.A. in International Relations, focusing on National Security, and a minor in English. Additionally, she holds a master’s degree in Public Policy, specializing in International Relations and Economics, from Pepperdine University. At Pepperdine, Alexia interned at Hope Worldwide in Indonesia, where she spent three months researching and analyzing the organization’s Disaster Risk Reduction educational program. She worked closely with the local schools throughout Indonesia and key stakeholders including USAID, The Ford Foundation, UNOCHA, and UNISRD.
Originally from Los Angeles, Alexia resides in Denver with her boyfriend, dog, Ripley, and two cats, Aife and Zemi. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the Rocky Mountains, diving into her next book, or training for her next half-marathon.
