CGA Team
Mariah Smith is an Analyst at Cambridge Global Advisors (CGA), supporting domestic projects and clients, and business development. Her work involves intelligence gathering, identifying emerging threats, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop physical and geopolitical risk assessments with accompanying strategic recommendations and policies for CGA’s clients. Smith also supports business development efforts through client engagement initiatives to expand CGA’s impact across various sectors.
Before she began at CGA, Smith was a program assistant for the N7 Initiative with Atlantic Council’s Middle East Programs, where she supported the N7 Conferences and Israel-related programmatic work. She facilitated the coordination of several large multilateral conferences and a ministerial-level conference which convened working-level and government officials from Israel, Morocco, Egypt, UAE, Bahrain, Jordan, and Sudan to discuss projects for MENA regional cooperation and integration. Before her position at the Atlantic Council, Smith worked with the American Civil Liberties Union in Louisiana where she worked on advocacy campaigns fighting for police reform and development projects facilitating private sector engagement. In addition, Smith led a project that worked in coordination with the US Department of State on technology and early warning signs of conflict. Smith also conducted research with Human Rights Watch on the Global Magnitsky Act. Based in Berlin, Smith participated in programming surrounding multilateralism in Europe, discussing projects with the European Union and NATO. She has research experience with Muslim thought and practices through the Madrasa Discourses, as well as living and research experience with Judaism in Jerusalem.
Smith received her BA from the University of Notre Dame where she studied Arabic, global affairs, and peace studies.
