Press Release: Former CGA COO, Morgan Ryan, Joins the DHS Office of Deputy Secretary

November 18, 2021 (Washington, DC) – Today, Cambridge Global Advisors (CGA) announced Morgan Ryan, Chief Operating Officer at the firm, has been appointed by the Biden-Harris Administration to serve as Special Assistant in the Office of the Deputy Secretary in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The appointment represents Morgan’s first in the federal government after working at CGA since 2013.

“Morgan’s efforts have been instrumental in CGA’s development, transforming the firm into what it is today,” CGA President Gen. Francis X. Taylor, said of Morgan’s appointment. “In Morgan, the Deputy Secretary’s office is getting an insightful leader. Her skills, passion, and drive will not only improve the office, but DHS as a whole.”

During Morgan’s tenure at CGA, she helped grow the business, and under her supervision, CGA received awards for a number of government contracts providing cybersecurity services both domestically and abroad. Morgan provided expert leadership and advised CGA’s clients, including Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, and government agencies on a range of national and homeland security issues.

Commenting on the appointment, CGA Chief Executive Officer, Douglas Lute, added, “Morgan has been a key part of CGA since the early days of the firm. We’ll miss her but she’s going to be a great asset for DHS, and I know she will continue to do great things.”

Following Morgan’s appointment, Jaclyn Houser and Gregory Michaelidis have assumed her responsibilities and been promoted to Managing Director and Chief of Staff, respectively.
